Universal Technical Institute Admission Requirements

Universal Technical Institute Entrance Requirements
Applicants must provide and UTI must acknowledge one of the following documents to meet the school’s admissions standards prior to commencing or re-enrolling:
- State-recognized high school diploma predicated on state standards (documented with a copy of the diploma, a transcript provided by the high school or a DD Form 214 showing verification of high school graduation). Diplomas and transcripts are assessed as soon as they arrive. UTI examines diplomas for validity and maintains the right to reject those that are found to be invalid.

A copy of the secondary school completion certificate is required if home schooling was completed in a state that awards such a credential. If the state does not have such standards, extra paperwork must be presented for evaluation, including a transcript indicating all courses, grades, and graduation date, as well as a certified statement. The campus Registrar or designee will check the applicant’s home school records and tell them if more evidence is required.
Requirements for Transfers From Other Institutions Students’
- Students whose previous ATB attendance can be verified with sufficient documentation that they completed a Title IV-eligible course of study before to July 1, 2012, may be admitted for admission at UTI.
- To verify attendance, a transcript from the preceding school is needed.
