Internship with National Geographic Mobile Storytelling (DC)

An intern will assist our editorial team in developing, storyboarding, and editing vertical stories for Instagram, Google AMP, and other new platforms. This team’s intern should be able to work in various mediums and have a keen eye for photography, video, graphic design, and text.

You should be able to develop new ways to enable their stories to work in various settings. You can participate with editors, producers, and photographers from throughout National Geographic as an intern.

Requirements

  • Every applicant must have unrestricted work authorization.
  • Applicants must be at a minimum of 18 years old to participate.
  • All candidates should be registered in at least one class at an accredited college or university or a recent graduate of an approved college or university within the last six (6) months.
  • For the length of the internship, all applicants must have their lodging and transportation.
  • Prospective candidates must maintain a constant and reliable project timeline throughout the session.
  • For the internship duration, all applicants must provide lodging and transportation.
  • All candidates must be available from May/June to August/September to participate in the program.
  • All applicants must be willing to work at least 20 hours per week.

National Geographic Business Affairs Internship

As a Business Affairs intern, you will have the opportunity to assist the team with contract analysis and data entry to broaden the candidate’s understanding of media-related words and procedures.

You’ll also collaborate with the team on first-draft memoranda, offer letters, summaries, and other written material for close and ongoing business affairs transactions.

National Geographic International Magazines Internship

The International Magazines Intern collaborates with the International Media Alliances group to administer, assist, and advise authorized versions of National Geographic magazines worldwide.

In support of the International Media Alliances team, the International Magazines Intern will learn about the publication production process, the contemporary global media industry, and international business communications.

Eligibility

  • All students must have unrestricted work authorization.
  • Students must be at least 18 years old to participate.
  • Should always be enlisted in at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before involvement in the internship program OR should have earned a degree from a college/university within the previous 6 months OR actively participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship at the time of application.
  • All candidates must maintain a reliable work schedule throughout the session.
  • For the length of the internship, all candidates must provide their housing and transportation.
  • All applicants must be accessible for the program from June 1 through August 7.
  • All applicants must be available to work up to 40 hours per week.

Internship in National Geographic, Scripted Series, And Documentary Films (CA)

National Geographic, a global cable channel aimed at deepening people’s understanding of the world and their part in it, is looking for an energetic, engaged intern to serve the fast-developing Scripted Series and Documentary Film divisions in Los Angeles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A desire to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Previous script coverage experience (not necessary).

Eligibility

  • All interns must be able to work in the United States.
  • Candidates would have to be at least 18 years old to be considered.
